ANTIOCH YOUTH

Antioch Youth Ministry wants to see the youth in Fort Worth inspired to live for Jesus in the midst of differing cultural norms and expectations.

With weekly LifeGroups and service, and frequent events, we are an inviting and welcoming space that propels teens into their future through life-giving friendships, personal discipleship, and corporate outreach.

Program Specifics

Experience.

Interns will serve on staff in the youth ministry and focus on gaining experience in three areas: the pastoral, the prophetic, and the practical. This ministry role is designed with specific learning objectives in mind. Participants will serve through having consistent supervisor meetings and general pastoral responsibilities.

Personal Growth.

Interns will have the opportunity to further develop both character and skill. They will join a monthly theological development course as well as a monthly leadership development course that focuses on six main competencies: Leading a vision, biblical preaching, leading a team, discipling a culture, developing others, and pastoring others.

Discipleship.

Each week, interns will spend time building community among our students, helping lead a youth service, sharing their faith, and discipling youth students. Interns will be asked to own a particular area of the youth ministry and work on projects tailored to their strengths.

Be Mentored In Community.

Each intern will have the opportunity to be mentored by a local seasoned leader.

Create Meaningful Moments.

Interns will be asked to help lead several larger ministry events - retreat, lock-in, and mission trip - in order to accomplish ministry goals.

Have Fun.

Although the program is designed to be stretching, we believe in having fun! We seek to create a community of joyful fun in the youth ministry staff.

Program Requirements

Upon completion of the 9-month experience, if interns desire to pursue vocational ministry further, we will invite them to apply for the two-year U.S. Leadership Track residency program hosted by the Antioch Movement. If interns desire to lead in the marketplace or home, we will also work to help them take next steps in their discipleship process.

1: Internships are available to recent college graduates, young adults, and adults.

2: Internships will last for 9 months and follow the school-year calendar (August-May).

3: Interns will be expected to raise support for 20 hours a week and encouraged to pursue an additional outside part-time job to help pay living expenses.

4: Interns will be expected to participate the Antioch Fort Worth Discipleship School. The church will cover all discipleship school expenses.

5: Interns will be expected to fully participate in church and staff life at Antioch Fort Worth. If you are not currently a member of Antioch Fort Worth or residing in the Fort Worth area, you must be willing to relocate for the duration of your internship.
